Bindery & Finishing

The bindery and finishing area at Kenyon Press has been designed to interface effectively with our production areas. This assures for an orderly transition of materials to our final production stage. Our
diverse equipment allows a wide variety of products to be constructed in accordance with our customer’s expectations.

The department has expanded over the years to create more room for the variety of jobs we receive here at Kenyon Press. We have saddle-stitching, perfect binding, cutting, and drilling capabilities available here. Our Bindery department also handles off-line folding.

Saddle Stitching is the core of our bindery department. We have three saddle stitching bindery lines, two of which are capable of holding up to 12 pocket jobs. We can also run up to four stitch heads for digest
type jobs. Another capability we have is an added punch for calendars.

Not to be overshadowed by our saddle stitchers is our Perfect bindery line. This line is capable of holding up to 20 pockets for those thicker catalogs.

For cutting and drilling we have numerous machines to assist us in getting the job done. We have 4 three-knife cutters for those jobs that are glued on press and require trimming. Kenyon Press also has three drillers, one of which is capable of 5-hole drilling. Our final trimming solution is a Lawson
Guillotine cutter for jobs like index and store sign cards.

Finished jobs are loaded directly onto skids and transported to our warehousing department for shipping preparation, whether it be boxed or bulk on skid.
